Catechism in a Year

Catechism in a Year was launched on January 1, 2023. This highly anticipated podcast follows on the wildly popular Bible in a Year podcast. Both are projects of Ascension Press, presented by Fr Mike Schmitz, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth Chaplain for the Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

The podcast is entirely free, with daily episodes uploaded to podcast and YouTube platforms. According to Ascension Press, in following along with the podcast, Catholics are able to:

Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition

While you can follow along with Fr Mike using the regular version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Press has also released its own edition of the Catechism designed with a Foundations of Faith approach. While this beautifully made edition of the Catechism is not sold outside the USA, you can purchase the Catechism at a Glance visual overview of the Catechism from some local Catholic publishers. You can even purchase a set of 77 colour-coded tabs that help you quickly find answers and visualise where each truth belongs in the bigger picture of the Catholic Faith.
