With less than two weeks to go until registrations close for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, young adults across the Archdiocese — in parishes and young adult groups, and on university campuses — are getting ready for an adventure of a lifetime.

The Bishops Commission for Evangelisation, Laity and Ministry is pleased to announce applications are now open for the Australian Young Catholic Women’s Fellowship for 2026/2027. The fellowship, which is offered over a two-year period, is a key initiative reflecting the Australian bishops’ ongoing commitment to formation of women for missionary leadership.

Australian Catholic University (ACU) education and wellbeing experts have united to provide practical advice to support senior school students in the lead-up to their end-of-year exams.

With less than 60 days to go until the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF), organisers are calling on pilgrims to put themselves forward as festival performers. ​‘Whether it’s through music, dance, drama or spoken word — we’re looking for pilgrim performers to help animate the experience for thousands of young people,’ says festival director Teresa Rhynehart.

Thousands of young people are gearing up to attend the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) later this year, not least members of Jesus Youth, a global Catholic movement that nurtures young people to live meaningful, creative and fulfilling lives.

Sizzling sausages. Laughter at trivia nights. The smell of fresh roses. All these experiences have one thing in common: they have been helping parishes across the Archdiocese of Melbourne over the last few months to fundraise so their young people can experience the Australian Catholic Youth Festival. From Melton South to Rowville and Scoresby to Mentone, parishioners have stepped up.
