Olá Pilgrims,

Thank you to all who attended our Reflection Day in September. We hope you had fun, spending this time in retreat, sharing, unpacking your experiences, and catching up with your fellow pilgrims.

On that weekend, we heard from Pope Francis who said that we should ‘keep alive’ our WYD memories and share our encounters with others – to be missionaries, sowers and witnesses.

We were invited to ‘not be afraid’ and continue the journey of faith back home with our local parish and school communities.

Here are some upcoming events and initiatives we promised to share with you as you take the next steps on your journey here at home:

The Discipleship Internship is a paid internship for university students in Victoria offered by the Proclaim team of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. Over twelve months, this team of interns will be formed and mentored to grow as disciples who go out onto campus and parish life to disciple others. It is a great opportunity to answer Pope Francis’ call at WYD.

Join us as we celebrate the arrival of Summer and the end of a busy year. Archbishop Peter A Comensoli will lead us in Holy Hour before we kick on in the Cathedral grounds with a night of music and fun.

For more than 20 years, young people from all over Melbourne have gathered at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday evenings for an hour of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. We invite all young people to join us for this weekly evening of prayer. A number of WYD pilgrims have been catching up at Holy Hour these past few months.
